Feeding

About

Meet Mandy

At Mandy the Speechie, all services are delivered by Mandy Pszczola.

Mandy holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) and is a Member of Speech Pathology Australia- Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (MSPA- CPSP).

Mandy is trained in:

  • Hanen. She is a Hanen Certified Speech Pathologist (It Takes Two to Talk and Target Word)

  • Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding

  • Circle of Security

  • PROMPT

  • Infant Monitor of vocal Production (IMP)

  • Key Word Sign

  • Bayley-4 developmental assessment

  • Lidcombe Program treatment for early stuttering

Mandy has training/ credentialing in working with neonates, cleft palate, paediatric feeding and parent coaching.

She is also mum to two beautiful kids!

Mandy has worked with families for 15+ years mainly in the paediatric hospital setting as well as private practice and community health in WA and Victoria.

She has extensive experience working with babies, toddlers and young children to optimise communication and feeding development.

Mandy is a skilled Speech Pathologist who is passionate about early intervention and working with parents to help each child reach their potential.

Mandy's experience includes:

  • Working with children with a range of backgrounds including developmental delay, hearing and/or vision impairment, babies with cerebral palsy, cleft palate, premature birth, neurological diagnosis, brain changes (e.g. HIE, IVH), complex medical history (e.g. cardiac, respiratory, seizures, long hospital stays), rare diseases, motor speech difficulties, pre-intentional communicators, speech and language delay and feeding difficulties.

  • Management of paediatric dysphagia including infant feeding, swallowing difficulties, oral aversion and tube weaning.

Mandy the Speechie is based in Perth, Western Australia.

Appointments are held at 4 Kearns Cres, Ardross.

Find me diagonally opposite the Quarter Acre Hotel. I am in with Wagtail Therapy, Paediatric Psychologists.

Parking is available on Kearns Cres (3 hours free when you enter your numberplate on the parking machine). There is also free parking at the back of the building, access this carpark off Petrossian Lane.

Mandy the Speechie can also support families living in rural or remote areas. Video calls and phone consults are available.

Rebates and fees

Mandy the Speechie offers:

  • Private Health fund rebates (speak to your health fund)

  • Medicare rebates for children with a Chronic Disease Management Plan (speak to your GP)

  • Services for children with an NDIS plan (self-managed and plan-managed only).
